By way of introduction I am John Bradshaw FRPS and will be having an exhibition of a major project to photograph 10,000 years of Irish History showing in Clonmel from 14th March until end of May. Any of your members or other friends would be most welcome to visit. It will be open Tuesday to Saturday 10 to 5pm.
Although I live in England I was born in West Cork and actually lived in Clonmel and Clogheen as a child. The project has taken 3 years to put together and tries to view the subject in a slightly unconventional way. Each of the 64 images is accompanied by a relevant quote from Irish Writing. I work only in Monochrome but some images are hand coloured or Bromoils. There are no digital images.
I would like to extend a personal invitation to the officers of the Clonmel Camera Club to the Official Opening on the evening of 13th March at 7.30 pm at South Tipperary Museum, Mick Delahunty Square, Clonmel.
I look forward to hearing from you.
John Bradshaw
