Theme for September : Urban Landscape (Monochrome).
An urban landscape is an artificial landscape in a city, town or village of which buildings are a part. The scene may be industrial or residential but should convey, or comment on, some aspect of urban life.

The 26th IPF Irish National Audio-Visual Championships which will be hosted by Shannon Camera Club.
The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 18th & 19th October 2008, in The Oak Wood Arms Hotel, Shannon, Co. Clare.
The competition is open to all levels of AV workers, Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced, and entries can be either in traditional slide projector or digital format.
The judge for the competition is Eddie Spence FRPS, who is well known UK and International AV circles as both a judge and a accomplished AV worker. He is a multi award winning author of AV sequences and had worked in analogue and digital aspects of AV. This will be Eddie’s first time to judge the IPF AV National Championships, and he will also be showing some of his award winning sequences at the competition.
The Irish National Hot Air ballooning Championships return to Waterford City after an absence of seven years. There were many happy moments during the championships held in Waterford in 2001. The event takes place at the end of September from 21st to 26th of September inclusive.
The base HQ for the event will be the Waterford Manor Hotel on the Old Kilmeaden road and flights will take place in the vicinity of the city throughout the week.
